This course applies to all persons who may be required to provide an advanced first aid response and advanced resuscitation in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

The prerequisite to HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy is HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. HLTAID011 is included in this course so is not required to be achieved prior.
Successful completion of this course requires participants to have the physical ability to respond to an emergency situation and provide an advanced first aid response and advanced resuscitation to a casualty. This includes the requirement for all participants to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
Foundation skills are the underpinning communication skills required for participation in the workplace, the community and in adult education and training.
Training and assessment materials and equipment will be supplied throughout the course. Students will need to bring a blue or black pen and wear comfortable, casual clothing. Students completing online components will require access to a reliable computer or portable device with an internet connection.

First Aid Codes of Practice recommend that refresher training in CPR should be carried out annually and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three years.

This course is offered and delivered by your training provider on behalf of Skills Network Australia. The course fee will be paid direct to your training provider.
This course may be arranged by an employer who can be invoiced for the training. If the student is booking direct, training fees must be paid by the student directly to your training provider. Course fees and payment terms will be communicated to the booking party (employer or student) prior to enrolment.
